The Totem Update


This update features 4 new totems the player can purchase using XP. New totems include the Speed Totem, Mana Totem, Fire Rate Totem, and the Fortune Totem. Additionally, players can now spend XP to upgrade their totems. A new passive enemy, potator, has been added. See patch notes and the devlog video below for more details.

Full Patch Notes:

  • Added 4 new totems:
    • Mana Totem: Functions like the health totem but replenishes mana
    • Speed Totem: When within range, the player has increased speed
    • Fire Rate Totem: When within range, the player has increased fire rate
    • Fortune Totem: Enemies within range drop bonus XP
  • Added totem upgrades:
    • Each totem now has 2 stats that can be upgraded
  • Adjusted the stats of the Fire Totem and the Totem of Life due to the new totem upgrades:
    • Fire totem cost decreased from 600 to 400
    • Fire totem time between each shot increased from 3 seconds to 6 seconds, can be upgraded
    • Fire totem damage decreased from 30 to 10, can be upgraded
    • Totem of life cost decreased from 600 to 400
    • Totem of life time between each shot increased from 3 seconds to 6 seconds, can be upgraded
    • Totem of life heal amount decreased from 30 to 10, can be upgraded
  • Adjusted the cost of potion upgrades:
    • Health Potion Boost cost decreased from 300 to 200
    • Shield Potion Boost cost decreased from 300 to 200
    • Mana Potion Boost cost decreased from 600 to 400
    • Damage Potion Boost cost decreased from 800 to 500
    • Health Regen Potion Boost cost decreased from 400 to 300
  • Added a new passive enemy:
    • Potator: 
      • 2% chance to spawn on non-boss levels
      • Despawns after 10 seconds
      • Drops 250 XP if killed in time
  • Updated enemy pathing to ensure enemies are further apart from each other when chasing the player
  • Updated the loot goblin to face the XP it is chasing rather than the player
  • Each XP now has a random speed
